Day 01 : Arrive Cochin :
Welcome
in KERALA .On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of day is free for personal
activities. Overnight at hotel
Day 02 : In Cochin :
Halfday city tour .. Chinese Fishing Nets: They are huge cantilevered
fishing nets brought by the Indian traders from the court of Kublai Khan,
the famous Mongol Emperor who founded the Yuan Dynasty of China.Jewish
Synagogue: Built in the year 1568, the Jewish Synagogue is probably the
oldest synagogue in the commonwealth..St. Francis Church: Built by the
Portuguese in 1503 AD, it is the first church built by the Europeans in
India. Vasco De Gama, the famous Bolghatty Island: An enchantingly
beautiful and narrow long island, it's famous for housing the Bolghatty
Palace, built by the Dutch in 1744. The only golf course of Cochin is
located on this picturesque island. Other major attraction of the
Bolghatty is an exciting Boat cruising on the island connecting Cochin to
Bolghatty Island. Willington Island: Surrounded by beautiful backwaters of
Cochin, Willington Island is an artificial island created by the dumping
of the materials that were dug out while Cochin Port was being deepened.
It houses the city's best hotels and trading centers, the port trust and
the headquarters of the southern naval command. Over night at hotel
Day 03 : Cochin / Periyar (Drive : 195 kms/05hrs) :
In morning drive to Periyar wild life sanctuary. On arrival check-in at
hotel . Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated around the artificially
created Periyar Lake. In 1895 a dam was constructed across the Ulla
periyar River. The resultant lake and its surrounding forest area were
abundant in wildlife, leading to the creating of a hunting reserve for the
Maharaja of Travancore. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Project
Tiger reserve in 1978 and is one of the most beautiful wildlife
sanctuaries in India. Its unique ecosystem which consists of thick moist
deciduous vegetation, dense evergreen forests and the aquatic environment
of the Periyar Lake make Periyar a unique and precious wildlife resource.

Day 04 : In Periyar :
Early morning visit park for games viewing . Apart from Elephants, the
other animals to be seen in the Periyar sanctuary are Gaur, Wild Pigs,
Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Dole or Indian Wild Dog and very rarely,
a Tiger. There are, now, an estimated 40 tigers here. Four species of
primates are found at Periyar - the rare lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri
Langur, Common Langur And Bonnet Macaque. Periyar also happens to be the
habitat of the elusive Nilgiri Tahr, The birdlife comprises of Darters,
Cormorants, Kingfishers, the great Malabar Hornbill and racket-tailed
Drongoes. The reptilian population boasts Of Monitor Lizards that can be
spotted basking in the sun, on the rocks along the lakeshore. Visitors who
trek into the Periyar national park often see a Python and sometimes even
a King Cobra.
In the lap of the mountains, the Periyar wildlife sanctuary's environ is
like a canvas of many shades. The fresh air of the moist deciduous forest
gives one a chance to experience the peace and serenity and long to return

Day 05 : Periyar / Munnar (Drive : 155 kms/05hrs) :
In morning drive to Munnar . Drive to Munnar . On arrival check-in at
hotel . Munnar is a picturesque chunk of the lofty Western Ghats in the
backwater country of Kerala in South India. The town of Munnar stands at
the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and
Kundala. Munnar is the most ideal place for the tourists looking for
trekking, boating, riding, angling and much more all at the same time. The
balmy climate of the Munnar will prompt you to laze about and fill your
soul with peace and delight.
A haven of peace and tranquillity, Munnar is amazingly beautiful, an

waterfalls, lakes and streams among the green hill slopes and valleys of

plantation ,enjoy walking amongst the numerous tea estates of Munnar and

Day 07 : Munnar / Kumarakom (Drive:200kms/05hrs) :
In morning drive to Kumarakom to board house boat for back water.
Kumarakom in Kerala is a beautiful backwater destination. Located on the
picturesque Vembanad Lake Kumarakom has to be seen to be believed.
Kumarakom consists of a cluster of islands which have been converted into
a number of tourist resorts. Popular with the discerning luxury tourist,

Day 08 : Kumarakom / Kovalam (Drive:170kms/04hrs):
In morning drive to Kovalam .On arrival check-in at hotel . Kovalam, is
one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of Kerala.. The three beaches
are called Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach and Samudra Beach. All the three
beaches have clear sandy expanses and are backed by waving palm trees. A
cool sea breeze blows in from the Arabian Sea and the rhythmic waves roll
onto the beach, to the delight of paddlers and swimmers. Kovalam is a
natural bay on the Arabian Sea coast of Kerala and with its blue waters,
white sand and green coconut trees looks like a picture postcard image of

Day 09 : Kovalam / Trivendrum / Kovalam (Drive : 30kms/01hrs one way )

In morning drive to same day excursion for Trivendrum . half day city
tour Padmanabha Swamy Temple: The temple is also one of the tourist
attractions in Trivandrum. The presiding deity is lord Vishnu reclining on
a large serpent that is 'Anantha'. Stone carvings and murals adorn
thetemple. Napier Museum: This 19th century structure displays a rare
collection of archaeological artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a
temple chariot and ivory carvings. The Indo-Saracenic structure boasts of
a natural air-conditioning system that bears testimony to the
technological progress of that period. Some other tourist attractions in
Trivandrum are: The Zoological Park,PriyadarshiniPlanetarium.Afternoon
proceed to Kovalam .Overnight at hotel

Transfer to Trivendrum (50 kms) to board flight for onwards destination
